Link Building Tactics From 10,000 Hours of Content Marketing – by David Christopher (SMX)
This talk was first given at SMX West in 2015. It details how we took our Internet marketing agency from focusing on link building for SEO purposes, to focusing on content marketing.
These are the lessons we learned and some of the tactics we have evolved after a year of content marketing and more than 10,000 hours billed to customers.
Highlights include a framework with which to think about content marketing (I believe it is a subset of inbound marketing), two questions to ask yourself before investing in any content, and half-a-dozen content marketing tactics that have generated links for us explained.
